Next meeting: December 6, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
Program: The Wright Brothers: The Rush to Build the Airplane - Part 1.
Presenter: Jerry Blake.
Fellow chapter member Jerry Blake has quite a list of accomplishments, not the least of which is the book he wrote about the Wright Brothers. Some of us are lucky enough to own a signed copy (talk with him if you would like one.) Jerry has obviously done extensive research on their accomplishments and has graciously offered to share his knowledge with us. In a two part series, Jerry will take us inside their world to detail "The Rush to Build the Airplane." Come learn about both the technical challenges and the time constraints involved for them to be the first to fly.
The Frederick Sport Flyers, Inc. have purchased a 1946 Piper J-3-C65 Cub and are planning on a restoration project. Chapter members are invited to participate in this effort which will be conducted in the Chapter hangar. You can find more details in the article published in our April Newsletter. Progress reports and picture albums can be found in the Photos section.
Check back here for a schedule of upcoming work dates.
Next session: Saturday, 17 November at 9:30.
