The Cub is complete with the exception of a tach and some signatures, so work continued today on a couple of other chapter projects. The Lycoming O-235 engine that was donated to the chapter is now being prepared for cleaning and inspection. Parts were sorted out and given an initial evaluation by Jerry. Lew and his daughter Mary greased the crankshaft to protect it during shipping and a crate was finished for it. Mike and Lew also began work on a larger crate for the crankcase. Meanwhile, Bill and Peter worked on assembling shelving that will store parts and supplies in preparation for work to begin on the RV-10 project.
On Thursday evening starting around 6:30 we will formally begin the RV-10 project with an organizational session. Work on the RV-10 will then continue on Saturday, December 14th at 9:00. As with the Cub project, everyone is welcome to come help build the RV-10 and learn some skills along the way.
