The last two work sessions have seen good progress on the Cub. A lot of time was spent on the wing root fairings. Being new, they are requiring a lot of careful fitting, matching holes, and drilling. There is still more to be done on them, but the end is in sight. Meanwhile, the engine was pre-oiled and the prop installed and tracked. As part of the wing root fairing work, the right side swing-up window was installed along with the latch that holds it in place up against the wing. Tom and Kris Crone came by and arranged a time for us to get the scales to soon weigh the plane. Jerry also talked to Tom Young who has agreed to check us out in the Cub once it is finished. Tom’s expertise will be appreciated. It has been a long time since any of us have flown a Cub. The next work session will be Wednesday, October 30th at 9:00.
