Cub Work Session #268

On Saturday a small group accomplished another milestone in the Cub project. After much preparation, they finally mounted the engine to the airframe. The task was made easier by the use of Jim Feighny's wonderful engine hoist. Now that it's mounted, we can start connecting the many hoses, cables, and wires. Mike made a start by hooking up the oil pressure line. Meanwhile, some other tasks were completed. The instrument panel screws and nuts were all tightened down to complete that installation. And the tail wheel springs and chains were finalized. The last part of the session was devoted to cleaning up for the IMC club meeting on Tuesday. The next work session will be Wednesday, July 17th at 9:00. Jerry has rented a truck and the plan is to transport the remaining small pieces to be painted to the paint booth and retrieve our finished wing.
