Today we nearly completed the process of applying tapes, inspection and access frames, and reinforcing gussets to the fuselage. We added an extra inspection ring to the bottom of the fuselage for future access to the antenna connections behind the seat. The most difficult part of the taping is around the cabin. Making a clean transition between the tape, the seam, and the already painted interior is tricky. We made good progress on that, but some still remains to be done. Next time we will finish around the cabin, iron the tapes, and begin masking the interior for painting. The fuselage will soon be off to the paint booth. The next work session will be Saturday, March 16th at 9:30.
