Cub Work Session #231

Slow, steady progress continued today on covering the fuselage. Cutting, trimming, more trimming, and finally gluing is a slow process. We had one team working on the cabin area while another focused on the tail. Using an iron to heat form the fabric around curved areas such as the rear windows helped a lot. Back at the tail, we labeled the ends of the control cables before sealing them inside. There still remains a little more gluing to be done, but we will soon begin the process of shrinking the fabric. Meanwhile at the spray booth, the final cross coat of silver Poly-Spray was applied to the wing. The next coat will be white Poly-Tone. The next work session will be Wednesday, February 20th at 9:30 (weather permitting.)
