Cub Work Session #220

In spite of the cold, rainy weather, we had another large turnout this morning. The left wing is now finished. The ironing of some tape edges, a final coat of Poly-Brush on a few tapes, and some masking completed the job. Since we are still in the process of resolving the paint gun issue, painting of the other wing is still on hold for the moment. We are getting closer to being able to apply the fuselage exterior fabric. Today more effort was put into getting the new type fuel shutoff valve and cable to connect and work smoothly. A vinyl reinforcement was made for where the cable pierces the fabric. Some work was also done on the baggage compartment area. Meanwhile, Robert continued work on the wiring for the antennas and ELT switch. The tiny connectors are apparently very hard to work with. Experiments were conducted with how to paint the shallow raised lettering on the various plates that go in the cabin - another tricky task. The next work session will be Wednesday, January 9th at 9:30.
