Cub Work Session #215

Work on both the wing and the cabin interior continued today. First step on the wing involved the ironing of the tapes and doilies that were applied last time. The pinked edges of tapes have to be ironed flat into the Poly-Brush layer underneath to keep them from curling up later. Once everything was smooth, we began applying some of the span-wise tapes. Meanwhile, the interior continued to take shape with the installation of some of the stainless steel heel plates onto the floorboards. This proved to something of a time consuming project, since each plate had to be drilled and dimpled to take flush headed screws. Positioning of the plates also involved lots of discussion and the use of shoes. The next work session will be Saturday, December 15th at 9:30.
