Cub Work Session #213

The last two work sessions have seen good progress on the Cub. The relatively complicated interior is coming together. Rudder pedals, brake pedals, brake master cylinders, torque tube, and the seat have all been installed. All of this had to be installed before the exterior fabric can be put on because they are all attached to the frame through the floorboards. Work also proceeded on the new baggage door. Fitting the new door and its tiny hinges is proving to be a challenge. Meanwhile work continued on the second wing. Fabric doilies were applied over inspection rings and reinforcements. Two inch wide tapes that cover the ribs were measured out and cut. Guide lines for the tapes were then laid out and the tapes Poly-Brushed onto the top of the wing. There is still a lot more taping to do. The next work session will be Saturday, December 8th at 9:30.
