Cub Work Session #211

Work resumed on the Cub this rainy morning. Having finished rib lacing the wing, we began putting several coats of Poly-Brush on the reinforcing tapes. This will serve as a bed for the 2-inch tapes which will be Poly-Brushed on later. Meanwhile, a major puzzle was being tackled on the fuselage. The front brake pedals are connected to the rear pedals and cylinders with a heavy, stiff, metal wire rod. Since the front pedals are installed up through the floorboards, the nicompress connections for the wire rods must be made within the confines of the narrow fuselage. It was no easy task. After much head scratching and many contortions, it was finally accomplished. Once the connections were made, the job of installing the front pedals was begun. The next work session will be Wednesday, November 28th at 9:30.
