Good progress continued on the left wing this rainy Saturday. Final ironing of the wing was followed by thorough cleaning with reducer and a tack rag. Then the entire wing was given a good first coat of Poly-Brush. Once both sides had been given enough time to dry, we used our template to run chalk lines to mark the locations for rib lacing on the bottom of the wing. The next work session will be Wednesday, October 31st. That session will be mainly devoted to trading the fuselage for our finished wing at the paint booth. Jerry is picking up the truck at 8:00. Shortly thereafter we will load up the wing. Once we return with the fuselage and control surfaces, we will spend our remaining time cleaning up for Thursday’s Chapter meeting.
