Today began with our monthly business meeting at the restaurant. The main topic of discussion was where we would put the project when we get evicted from the south hangars in the Spring. Once we got to work on the wing, a lot was accomplished. The top fabric was rolled out and glued to the leading and trailing edges. Joe and Mark also began working their magic on the tricky wing tip bow. Meanwhile, Chris and Martyn tried to blast the rudder pedals with walnut shells in an effort to remove epoxy primer to which powder coating won't stick. Unfortunately, it didn’t work, so the next step is to try paint stripper. Neil Wright and his wife stopped by to inspect our work. Neil is officially our IA, so his approval is important. The plan is to spray the final yellow coats on the fuselage interior next week and then move the fuselage back to the chapter house. The next work session will be Wednesday, October 24th at 9:30.
