Today we began covering the left wing. Jerry first gave the structure a final inspection. The leading edge was then marked with chalk lines for where the fabric would first be attached. The wing was then turned over and the bottom fabric rolled out. After cementing the leading edge, the fabric was trimmed and glued to the trailing edge. Fabric inserts were also fitted to the insides of the aileron bays and the butt rib. Our experience with the left wing really seemed to speed up our work on this one. There will be no work session on Saturday, October 13th due to the Women in Aviation event since some of us will be volunteering for that. The next work session will be Wednesday, October 17th at 9:30.
