Cub Work Session #192

Today we worked on preparing the wing for taping. The reinforcing tape under the rib laces had to be cleaned of wax and then painted with Poly-Brush to provide a base for tapes. Straight lines were drawn to mark the where the two inch tapes will go over the ribs. We also located and marked where all the inspection rings will go. Meanwhile, taping proceeded on the ailerons. The iron and some reducer were used to first clean up any imperfections and then tapes were applied. The ailerons will soon be ready for the spray booth. Earlier in the week two cross coats of silver Poly-Spray were applied to the cabin interior fabric - a job fit for a contortionist. The next work session will be Saturday, September 1st at 9:30.
