On Tuesday, several of us went to Neil's spray booth to prepare the fuselage for painting. We attached the rotisserie and did more masking. Joe shared some of his experience with the equipment and we discussed some ideas for next steps. Today we worked on preparing the wing for covering. A second coat of Poly-Brush was applied to the metal parts. Lots of inspections, adjustments, and touch-ups to the structure were done, knowing that once the fabric goes on we will no longer have access to most of it. Chalk lines were snapped along the leading edge to mark the locations for overlapping fabric. The ailerons were also brought in and inspected. Some small dents were filled with an epoxy material. The wing is now ready for fabric. That process will begin on Saturday, June 9th at 9:30.
