Sometimes things don't go as planned. The rental truck Jerry reserved to move the fuselage to Neil Dickinson's place did not materialize. Whoever rented it before us failed to return it. So Jerry called around and managed to reserve a truck with another place for tomorrow morning. So instead of moving the fuselage we decided to go ahead and bring in one of the wings and start preparing it for covering. We cleaned the wing and then added inter-rib lacing and covered sharp points with anti-chafe tape. One of the short false ribs was found to be bent with the metal creased so that it might fail. So a reinforcing piece was fabricated and installed. The process took a long time for such a little piece. Once again the expertise, ingenuity, and attention to detail of Jerry and others in this group continues to amaze. So our next work session will now be tomorrow, May 31st at around 9:00 as we once again attempt to move the fuselage.
