Today was the first day of real fabric work. The first task was to install the new baggage compartment. The compartment is really nothing more than a rectangular canvas bag with polyfiber gluing strips sewn into the upper edges. A lot of measuring, fitting, and cutting of the glue strips took a while. We then glued it in place. Meanwhile, the frame was prepared and the side wall fabric was fitted in place, but not yet glued. There will be no Cub work session on Saturday, February 3rd. Instead, we are going to help Steve Gross put the wings on his RV-9. The job begins around 9:30 at his hangar which is #41 on the south end of the field.
