With the engine nearly complete and awaiting new mags and an overhauled carburetor, we moved on to fitting the interior fabric. The fabric set sent to us by Preferred Airparts looks like it will work nicely. But we still had an issue with the top panel that runs from back at the baggage compartment up to the skylight. Many phone and email exchanges with a fellow at Preferred Airparts has still not quite resolved that puzzle. Jerry is now ready to complete logbook paperwork for the overhaul of the engine. Toward that end, we reviewed the logbooks in an attempt to find the total time on the engine. Although we have all of the Cub’s logbooks, record keeping was somewhat lacking in the plane's early days. Still, we were able to arrive at a reasonably accurate number. Work will continue on installing the baggage compartment and interior fabric on Saturday, January 27th at 9:30.
