Today was moving day for the Cub. We loaded the giant rental truck with the fuselage, struts, and tail feathers and then headed to the American Stripping Co. in Manassas. The folks there were very friendly and quite knowledgeable about handling airplanes. Their facility was impressive. They do high quality work on all sorts of things large and small. The Cub was placed beside a World War One era cannon that was being restored! (You can see it on the left side of the third photo, although it is under plastic sheeting.) We were told that we can retrieve the finished parts next Thursday. Since the fuselage will not be back until then, there will be no formal work session on Wednesday, March 29th. The next work session will be Saturday, April 1st.
