Work on the wing continued Saturday. The main task was the slow and sometimes frustrating process of trammeling the wing to make it square and rigid. Many tiny adjustments and counter-adjustments are required to get it just right. That work will continue next Wednesday. Meanwhile, the new wingtip bow got another added brace and a final coat of epoxy varnish. Jerry announced that he had spoken with Tom Young and learned that the fuselage is finished and ready to be picked up. We decided that we would try to go get it on Wednesday, February 8th. By then we may be finished with the wing. The fuselage will then need to be stripped, blasted, and primed. When, where, and how these tasks will be accomplished is still under discussion. The next work session will be Wednesday, February 1st at 9:30.
