Saturday morning began with some final touch-up cleaning of the wing followed by reassembly work. We had some new help today. Young Christian, who attended our last chapter meeting, brought his father Jeff along to help us out. He helped with the cleaning and then worked on installing one of the compression struts and a drag wire. Most of the drag struts are in and the new inboard end rib braces have been attached. The heel brake cylinders in the Cub are an expensive item to replace, so Robert took on the task of disassembling and inspecting them to determine if they are serviceable. Chris took the brake parts home to clean them, but with the replacement of a few minor parts, it looks like they are in decent shape. Wing reassembly will continue on Wednesday, January 11th at 9:30.
