Another milestone for the Cub project was achieved today with the final completion of the right wing. Once the tip leading edge skin was installed, we walked the finished wing down to the Cub hangar and covered it with plastic sheeting. Work then proceeded on the left wing. All of the internal parts have been removed and carefully labeled. The process of cleaning and the removal of fabric glue residue has begun. Jerry also met with Tom Young last week regarding his work on the fuselage. Tom has decided to replace both lower longerons from just in back of the cabin to the tail post with better 4130 steel tubing. Tom's shop does not seem interested in blasting and priming the fuselage, so we're going to have to arrange another way to get those tasks done. The next work session will be Wednesday, December 14th at 9:30.
