I haven't been able to attend the last three work sessions, but the guys took photos and filled me in on the latest progress.
The long, somewhat delicate process of installing the new wing leading edges has been the focus of the last three sessions. Dozens of holes for tiny screws were located, marked, and drilled in each rib as well as the back side of the front spar. Each skin was attached on the bottom of the wing, then the wing was flipped over and straps were used to bend and form the skin over the top. The last step has been to finish attaching the top side of each skin. Completing that task will take place at the next work session which is Wednesday, November 16th. There will be no work session on Saturday, the 19th because several of our members will be attending a Cub restoration workshop with the ?Cub Doctor? Clyde Smith Jr. in Lock Haven PA. We look forward to their report and photos from that event. There will also be no work session on the 23rd because of Thanksgiving.
