Cub Work Session #37

Two major completions took place on Saturday. The wing is now completely trammeled and so the structure is now locked down and rigid. The complex aileron hinge repair was also finally completed and looks great. The final steps have begun. Inter-rib bracing tape was applied to the ribs along the leading edge. This will keep the ribs in place while the leading edge skins are attached. The tape will also be applied to the main ribs to help keep everything rigid and aligned when the fabric is attached. Attaching the new leading edge skins will be the final task which involves bungee cords and lots of tiny screws. The next work session will be Wednesday, November 2nd at 9:30.
