The wing is nearing completion. All of the compression struts are in. Most of the bolts have been torqued and the drag/anti-drag wires have been installed. We put heat shrink tubing on the wires where they cross rather than tape. The result looks good. Bob worked on installing the aileron control cable and its fairleads. The snap rings that hold the fairleads proved to be difficult. One bit him. Work on the aileron repair continued and is nearing completion as well. The wing still needs to be trammeled (squared up). The big final job will be the installation of the leading edge skins. Tom Young called and said that he is now ready to do welding repairs on the fuselage. The tentative plan is to rent a truck and take the fuselage to Hagerstown next Wednesday. The next work session is this Saturday, October 15th at 9:30.
