Steady progress continued on the Cub Wednesday. On the wing, a reinforcement for the center aileron bracket was fabricated and made ready for riveting. Meanwhile, a questionable earlier repair on the right aileron was completely removed by drilling out a lot of hard-to-get-at rivets. A new bracket has been ordered and the other new sheet metal parts are being fabricated. Good use was made of some of the sheet metal tools that were donated to the chapter a while back. Earlier, all of the wing parts and hardware were gathered and organized in preparation for reassembly. We also moved more parts into the new hangar, put the fuselage back on sawhorses, and covered it with plastic sheeting. Work on the wing and aileron will continue on Saturday September 10th at 9:30.
