The second batch of sandblasted parts was ready for epoxy priming this week. Thanks to another good turnout, we were able to make fairly short work of it. A few parts needed a little extra attention delivered with a combination of sandpaper and a hammer. Work also continued on removing bits of tape and areas of fabric glue residue from the ailerons and the wing. Paint remover proved to be the solution for the glue. Epoxy varnish has been ordered for the wingtip bow as well as some hardware and a couple of new parts. We should be able to finish up with priming and cleaning next session and perhaps begin the process of reassembling the wing. There will not be a session on Saturday. The next session will be Wednesday, August 24th at 9:30.
