Next Chapter Meeting

Thursday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. 

Program: Mark Glogouski, the head of the paint shop at Royal Aircraft Services in Hagerstown, and a co-worker of Tom Young, will give a presentation on "Painting your Aircraft."

Mark painted my RV-7A, and the other photo is an RV-8 he is currently painting, which should be an award-winner. Mark has vast experience with both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Bring your questions about corrosion protection, epoxy application, what to use, and other "how to" techniques.

Chapter Project: J-3 Cub Restoration

The Frederick Sport Flyers, Inc. have purchased a 1946 Piper J-­3-C­65 Cub and are planning on a restoration project. Chapter members are invited to participate in this effort which will be conducted in the Chapter hangar. You can find more details in the article published in our April Newsletter.  Progress reports and picture albums can be found in the Photos section.

Meetings are held at the Chapter 524 Hangar

Chapter 524 meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the EAA Chapter 524 Aviation Education Center which is located at the Frederick Municipal Airport. As you enter the airport, park in the Terminal Parking lot. Walk south past the flight school (yellow building). There are signs on the end of the second row of hangars for the Chapter.  Guests are always welcome.
