Cub Work Session #157

Fabric work continued on the Cub Saturday. Having completed installation of the interior fabric, the next step is ironing the fabric to shrink it. This is done in two stages. An initial shrinking at 250 degrees and a final pass at 350 degrees to bring the fabric to its final tightness. We used a regular iron along with small irons for tight places. Covering the landing gear legs was also begun. The brake lines run inside the covered landing gear, so it was important to first make sure they were secured since they won't be accessible once the covering is done. The fabric covering the door was also shrunk to its final tautness. The next work session will be Wednesday, April 4th at 9:30.
