Cub Work Session #129

Due largely to the snow, only four of us attended today's work session. Our focus was entirely on engine assembly. Since our last session, Jerry solved the issue with the connecting rod bolts by slightly reaming the holes. Today was mostly spent measuring everything with micrometers to ensure all of the connecting rods and parts were within book tolerances before attaching them to the crankshaft. We got a lot of practice learning to use the micrometers. Once everything was found to be according to specs, we attached the first connecting rod to the crankshaft, torqued the bolts and fitted cotter pins. Work will continue next Wednesday, December 13th at 9:30.
