Cub Work Session #123

Preparation for engine assembly continued today. The cleaning and sorting of small parts and hardware was pretty much completed. An attempt was made to sand blast some parts, but Mike could not get the cabinet/hose arrangement to cooperate. So paint remover, acetone, and scotchbrite were used instead. A lot of careful, time-consuming masking was also done in preparation for painting. Near the end, a few parts were painted with high temperature paint. The missing parts are still missing. Jerry is going to talk further with the shop that reconditioned such things. The fuselage is still at the paint shop, but should be back soon. We now have the interior fabric and may start on that soon as well. The next work session will be Wednesday, November 15th at 9:30. However, the following two sessions are cancelled due to travel and the holiday. There will be no work sessions on Saturday, November 18th or Wednesday, November 22nd.
