On Saturday, final tasks were completed to assemble and rig the Cub to be sure everything fits, has proper hardware, and works correctly. Satisfied that the job was complete, we spent Wednesday beginning the process of undoing everything we've done. It seemed strange taking things apart that we'd spent so much time assembling. Tail feathers and ailerons were removed. After locating and drilling a hole for the quick drain in the boot cowl, the cowl and fuel tank were also removed. Work was begun removing the seat and controls from the cabin. Somehow Chris always seems to be the one lying on his back when working on this. During the disassembly process we are being very careful to bag and label all hardware and fittings which will save us time during final assembly. The next work session will be Saturday, October 21st at 9:30. We are hoping for a good turnout so that we can remove the wings.
