Sat. May 27, 2017. Following our monthly business meeting, four of us continued work on the controls. In spite of the low holiday weekend turnout, we were able to install the throttle cable along with all of its linkages and even the new knobs. The next session, which will be Wednesday, May 31st at 9:30, will be devoted entirely to the evacuation of the entire project to make way for the upcoming chapter meeting and workshops. <<<>>>
Wed. May 31, 2017. Moving day. Due to the upcoming workshops, the Cub project needed to clear out of the Chapter House. A lot of folks came to help and made pretty short work of getting everything out of the way. The biggest job was moving the fuselage down to the Cub hangar. Wally brought his pickup truck which made walking the airframe down there a lot easier. Rex was also there waiting for a truck to arrive with the crate of materials for the electrical workshop. Just as we had everything finished and were talking about going to lunch, the truck showed up. Perfect timing. There will, of course, be no work session on Saturday due to the workshop. However, we do hope to have a session next Wednesday, June 7th at 9:30. We will meet at the chapter house to plan what we are going to do and then go down to the Cub hangar. We are also hoping to have some painting done while the airframe is out of the Chapter House.
