Today's work session began with the awkward task of back-drilling holes for attaching the new boot cowl. It took the contortions of both Mike and Jerry plus multiple drill bit configurations to get it done. The next task involved installing rivnuts into the frame that holds the boot cowl. Although Jerry had purchased a tool for the purpose, it turned out not to be up to the job. While we were struggling with how to get it to work, we were visited by an interested gentleman who happened to have a better version of the tool. With the loan of his tool, we should be able to finish the job on Saturday. Meanwhile, Peter and Chris installed the vertical fin on the tail. The next work session will be Saturday, April 15th at 9:30.
