Today's main task was to inject tube oil into the longerons and other tubing of the airframe. Small holes were first drilled into the longerons near the tail and then the oil was pumped into the tubing via a pressure oil can provided by Chris Gunther. The fuselage was then tilted and rotated to different angles to spread the oil throughout the airframe. After letting the oil circulate for awhile, we allowed the oil to drain back out through the tail and then plugged the holes with sealing rivets. Some time was also spent making minor repairs to the light bird cage framework that surrounds the upper cabin. A large parts order is due to arrive by Thursday and so Saturday should begin the process of assembly.
