We had enough folks show up on Saturday to tackle three different tasks. The finishing touches to the wing were accomplished including the last of the fairleads and epoxy priming the aileron hinges. Meanwhile several people with torches and wire brushes attacked the old paint on the fuselage. It was a breezy mild day, so we were able to just open both doors and do that task inside with plenty of ventilation. We also brought over the lift struts and began the messy process of stripping the paint from them. Once again, the blue paint came off relatively easily while the underlying primer is proving much harder to remove. Work on the fuselage and struts will continue next Wednesday March 1st at 9:30.
